Chennai, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, expressed her joy over the overwhelming response to her father’s latest film, ‘Jailer 2.’ She believes the film is set to make history in Tamil cinema.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Soundarya shared, “Thalaivar is not just a name for me; it’s an emotion for everyone who loves him. It cannot be expressed in words; it can only be felt.”
Describing ‘Jailer 2’ as a magnificent blockbuster, she remarked, “My Tiger Muthuveil Pandian, my Appa (father), has lit up the screen. He has entertained us for 51 years. This is 51 years of ‘Rajinism’!”
Soundarya praised the film’s director, Nelson Dilip Kumar, saying, “My dear Nelson, what an incredible film you have created! And my beloved brother Anirudh Ravichander, the way you enhanced the scenes has taken it to another level. What a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday this year! Much love to the entire amazing cast and crew. I could say so much more about this film, but I’m too emotional to continue.”
At the end of her post, she encouraged fans to watch ‘Jailer 2’ multiple times, stating, “This film is going to make history in Tamil cinema. I am so proud.”
The Central Board of Film Certification has granted ‘Jailer 2,’ directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role, a UA certificate for release. The film hit theaters worldwide on October 15, 2026, generating significant anticipation among fans and the general audience since its announcement.
In April this year, the filmmakers celebrated the completion of shooting with shared images of a cake-cutting ceremony.
