Mumbai, March 10: Actress Soha Ali Khan has rejoined the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as an advocate. She describes this opportunity as a “full circle moment” in her life, recalling her early career when she worked with a UN-affiliated organization.
Soha shared her exciting news on social media, expressing how special it is to work with the United Nations again. In her post, she reflected on her career beginnings, noting that her first job was also with a UN-related organization.
She wrote, “In 1999, I got my first job with the United Nations Development Fund for Women while working in New Delhi. My role involved empowering women economically and politically and raising awareness to eliminate violence against women.”
Soha continued, “Now, nearly 27 years later, I am once again associated with the United Nations. This time, I have been appointed as an advocate for UNFPA. I will be addressing several critical issues related to women and girls, including reproductive health, menstrual awareness, gender equality, and women’s dignity.”
