SJVN rises as its arm bags 200 MW Wind Power Project

The scrip opened at Rs. 38.99 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 39.59 and Rs. 38.51 respectively. So far 1660019 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 42.25 on 05-Dec-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 25.55 on 20-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 38.59 and Rs. 35.91 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14964.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.82% and 7.41% respectively.

SJVN’s wholly owned subsidiary — SJVN Green Energy has participated in the Tariff based competitive Bidding process for selection of Wind Power Developers for setting up of 1,200 MW ISTS connected Wind Power Projects in India (Phase-XIV) conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and bagged the full quoted capacity of 200 MW Wind Power Project at Rs 3.24/unit on Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis through e-RA conducted on June 12, 2023.

The Power Sell Agreement (PSA) shall be executed after issuance of LOI from SECI. This Wind Power Project shall be developed by SJVN Green Energy anywhere in India through EPC contract. Tentative cost of Construction / Development of this project is Rs 1,400 crore. The project is expected to generate 578.16 MUs annually and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 14,454 MU. As per RfS the Project shall be commissioned in a period of 24 Months from the date of signing of PSA. The commissioning of this Project is expected to reduce 7,08,246 tonnes of carbon emission and would contribute in Government of India mission of reduction in carbon emission.

SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
