Chennai, May 13: A tragic accident occurred early Wednesday morning near Vellakovil in Tiruppur district, Tamil Nadu, where a speeding car collided with a lorry on the Karur National Highway. Six individuals, including a police constable on duty, lost their lives at the scene.
According to police reports, the incident took place near the Karur National Highway police post in Vellakovil while officers were attempting to remove a lorry that had crashed into the road divider.
Police constable Ravichandran was assisting the lorry driver when the accident happened. A car, traveling at high speed, suddenly lost control and crashed violently into the stationary lorry, resulting in a devastating collision. The impact was so severe that it claimed the lives of constable Ravichandran, the lorry driver, and four occupants of the car.
