New Delhi, April 18 : : Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia chaired a meeting with the officials of the Finance Department and Dialogue and Development Commission on Monday to review the progress of announced schemes and policies under the Delhi 2022-23 budget. According to the officials, the minister was updated with the sector-wise projects wherein the work has been initiated or some action has been taken towards implementation. They also said that Sisodia directed all departments to initiate action on the schemes announced by the state government under the Rozgar budget. On Dilli Shopping festival, a senior official said, “A stakeholder consultation meeting with the key members of retail market associations is planned on Thursday.” Besides, for Grade A retail and Food Hubs, with a focus on developing them on bus depots and terminals, discussions are to be scheduled with the Transport Department to prepare an action plan to take the project forward, he added. Meanwhile, the newly formed Food Truck policy of the government was also discussed in the meeting wherein the Deputy CM was informed that potential locations for setting up the food trucks were being identified and the Transport Department will be coming up with a process for streamlining the regulations for their installation, the officials said. Besides, to facilitate the growth of Cloud Kitchens in Delhi, the state government has been reducing the existing regulatory burden on this industry and identifying potential land parcels to set up such clusters. “A consultation with various key players in the Cloud Kitchen industry will be held by the Dialogue and Development Commission on April 26,” an official informed. In the manufacturing sector, the DDC has engaged with a knowledge partner, EPIC Foundation, for developing the road map of Delhi’s Electronic City, he added. ASH RNJ
