Significance of Rangbhari Ekadashi: Auspicious Timings and Rituals

New Delhi, February 26: The auspicious Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Phalgun falls on February 27. This day is known as Aamla or Rangbhari Ekadashi and holds special significance. It is believed to have a unique connection with both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.

Observing the fast on Aamla Ekadashi with devotion is said to cleanse all sins and bring prosperity and positive energy into one’s life. The Amla tree is considered the abode of Lord Vishnu, making its worship on this day particularly fruitful.

Devotees observe a fast and worship Lord Vishnu along with Goddess Lakshmi. In Kashi, as well as in various parts of the country, the celebrations for the festival of colors, Holi, commence on Rangbhari Ekadashi. According to religious beliefs, it is on this day that Lord Shiva first visited Kashi with Goddess Parvati after their marriage, marking her Goun ceremony.

According to the Drik Panchang, the Ekadashi Tithi will last until 10:32 PM on February 27, after which the Dwadashi will begin. In terms of Nakshatras, the Ardra Nakshatra will be present until 10:48 AM, followed by the Pushya Nakshatra. The Ayushman Yoga will be in effect until 7:44 PM. The Karan Vani will last until 11:31 AM, after which the Vishti Karan will take over.

Several auspicious yogas are forming on this day, including the Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga from 10:48 AM to 6:47 AM the next day, and Ravi Yoga from 6:48 AM to 10:48 AM. Sunrise on Friday will occur at 6:48 AM, while sunset will be at 6:20 PM.

For favorable timings, Brahma Muhurat will be from 5:09 AM to 5:59 AM, Abhijit Muhurat from 12:11 PM to 12:57 PM, Vijay Muhurat from 2:29 PM to 3:15 PM, and Godhuli Muhurat from 6:17 PM to 6:42 PM.

It is also important to consider inauspicious times. On Friday, Rahukal will occur from 11:08 AM to 12:34 PM, Yamgand from 3:27 PM to 4:53 PM, Gulika Kaal from 8:15 AM to 9:41 AM, and Durmuhurt from 9:07 AM to 9:53 AM. Additionally, Bhadra will be present from 11:31 AM to 10:32 PM.
