New Delhi, April 4: A shocking incident has emerged from Old Seemapuri in New Delhi, where a 24-year-old man repeatedly stabbed a teenage girl, leaving her critically injured. She succumbed to her injuries during treatment, causing widespread panic in the area. Residents are increasingly alarmed by the frequency of such violent incidents.
According to police reports, a PCR call was received late Friday evening at the Seemapuri police station, alerting them that a girl had been stabbed multiple times and was unconscious. Responding swiftly, police arrived at the scene in the lane near the Ravidas Temple in Old Seemapuri, where they learned that the girl had been admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Hospital. Upon arrival, doctors informed the police that the teenager was unable to provide a statement.
The police registered a case based on the girl’s identity, the PCR call, the crime scene, and the medico-legal report (MLR). Meanwhile, another PCR call was received at the Seemapuri police station reporting an explosion at C-314, New Seemapuri, Delhi.
Upon investigation at the explosion site, it was discovered that Jatin (24), a resident of C-314, was alone at home and died due to the fire. He was taken to GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead. His charred body was placed in the mortuary at GTB Hospital.
During the investigation of both cases, it was revealed that Jatin had attacked the teenage girl, leading to her death during treatment. Police stated that Jatin and the girl had a prior friendship, which had soured, resulting in a dispute. During this argument, Jatin attacked her. After committing the act, he returned home and set himself on fire in a suicide attempt. Local residents alerted the police, but by the time they arrived, the young man had already succumbed to his injuries.
