Mumbai, February 28: Sharad Pawar, the president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Union Minister, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. His condition is reported to be stable.

According to sources, Pawar is currently under medical supervision at the hospital. Doctors are closely monitoring his health.

Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena (UBT), shared updates on social media, confirming that Pawar’s condition remains stable. Raut visited him and discussed various issues during their meeting.

On the social media platform X, Raut wrote, “Today, I met senior leader Sharad Pawar at Breach Candy Hospital. His condition is stable and improving rapidly. We talked about political and social matters.”

So far, there has been no official statement regarding Pawar’s health from the party, family, or hospital.

Meanwhile, political activity is heating up in Maharashtra concerning the Rajya Sabha seat elections. Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Varun Sardesai remarked on Friday about Pawar’s stature, stating, “Sharad Pawar is a great leader. If he is interested in going to the Rajya Sabha, or if there is any proposal from the MVA leadership, we will not relinquish our claim.”

Sardesai’s statement follows comments made by Supriya Sule, who expressed, “Everyone wishes for Pawar Sahab to be re-elected to the Rajya Sabha. The overwhelming support reflects the respect and affection people have for him. Our senior leaders and I will request Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) to ensure his unanimous re-election.”
