SFs recover arms in village along LoC in Poonch

New Delhi, April 4 : In an intelligence based operation on Sunday, joint security forces recovered arms and amm tion from Noorkote village of Tehsil Haveli along the Line of Control in Poonch district, Indian Army informed on Monday. During the searches, the party recovered, two AK-47 rifles, two AK 47 magazines, one 223 bore AK shape gun with handgrip, two magazines of 233 bore AK shape gun, one Chinese Pistol, one Chinese pistol magazine, 63 AK-47 rounds, twenty rounds of 223 bore AK Shape gun and four Chinese pistol rounds, Indian Army said. The operation was conducted based on specific intelligence inputs, by the Poonch Brigade of Indian Army’s 16 Corps and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Noorkote village of Poonch district. Once again the enemy’s nefarious designs of disturbing the peace process in Jammu and Kashmir has been foiled by the alert Security Forces, said Indian Army in a statement. ASU SY 1047
