Mumbai, March 31 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday opened on a flat note at 58,779.71 as buying was seen in Telecom, Utilities and Bankex stocks. The Nifty too rose 21 points at 17,519. The Sensex registered days high and low at 58,890.92 and 58,620.78 points respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,559.80 and 17,486.40 points respectively. The Mid Cap moved up 0.43 per cent and Small Cap by 0.59 per cent. In 30 scrips, 21 advanced while 9 declined. The gainers were M&M by 2.36 per cent to Rs 811.85, Bajaj finance by 1.65 per cent to Rs 7373.90, Asian Paints by 1.30 per cent to Rs 3120.15 and Hind lever by 1.19 per cent to Rs 2039.40. The losers were Bharti Airtel by 0.93 per cent to Rs 742.45, Infosys by 0.92 per cent to Rs 1900.15, Reliance industries by 0.82 per cent to Rs 2651.15 and Wipro by 0.56 per cent to Rs 597.30. NV PRT
