Sensex bounces back over 300 points

Mumbai, April 13 : The BSE Sensex on Wednesday regained 334 points to open at 58,910.36 as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty also rose 69 points to 17,599.90. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 59,003.82 and 58,514.54 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,663.65 and 17,523.45 points respectively. The Mid Cap moved up 0.26 per cent and Small Cap by 0.61 per cent. In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined. The gainers were NTPC by 1.67 per cent to Rs 155.20, M& M by 1.28 per cent to Rs 871.90, Sun Pharma by 0.98 per ent to Rs 930.20, Bharti Airtel by 0.98 per cent to Rs 748.85 and Bajaj finance by 0.96 per cent to Rs 7342.35. The losers were Asian Paints by 1.82 per cent to Rs 3074.75, Dr Reddy’s Lab by 1.31 per cent to Rs 4315.15, Titan by 1.30 per cent to Rs 2456, Powergrid by 1.27 per cent to Rs 230.15 and HDFC by 1.14 per cent to Rs 2398.60.
