New Delhi, May 17: Traders and the market association at the Ring Road market in Sarojini Nagar warmly welcomed Kuljeet Singh Chahal, the Vice Chairman of NDMC, on Sunday. They expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided in relocating their shops to the newly constructed NBCC units and voiced satisfaction with the facilities available at the new location.
During a media interaction, Chahal noted that this area is commonly referred to as the “Pakora Market,” where over 200 shopkeepers and traders have been conducting business for a long time. He mentioned that the issue of shop rehabilitation had been pending for quite some time due to the large redevelopment project by NBCC, with traders primarily demanding proper facilities in their new premises.
Chahal extended special thanks to Union Minister Manohar Lal for his cooperation in this process. He stated that Manohar Lal has been personally overseeing several development projects in the NDMC area. The minister listened attentively to the traders’ concerns, addressed various issues, and instructed officials to resolve the remaining problems.
He expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the interests of all traders would be safeguarded. Chahal emphasized that NDMC and the Government of India would implement necessary guidelines for the welfare of traders, benefiting everyone involved. He further noted that traders welcomed their initiatives and also extended their support to Prime Minister Modi’s recent appeal, pledging to stand firmly with him.
