Sanjay Raut Accuses Ruling Party of Losing Mental Balance Amid Political Turmoil

Mumbai, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena (UBT), launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, asserting that the ruling party has lost its mental balance. He compared the BJP’s current predicament to the panic and despair that marked the decline of the British Empire in 1942.

Raut highlighted concerns raised by Supreme Court Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan regarding the fairness of elections, stating that it is unacceptable to deprive millions of citizens of their voting rights. He claimed that the BJP’s mental state has deteriorated in response to public outrage.

Criticizing Fadnavis’s political career, Raut remarked that while they try to motivate him by suggesting a future in Delhi, he continues to undermine himself. He noted that Fadnavis is in line for a significant national role, but he must first recognize that the public’s protests are not mere complaints but a revolution.

Responding to comments made by Minister Ashish Shelar, Raut stated that Shelar, being a coward himself, only perceives noise. He emphasized that the protests against electoral manipulation represent the largest opposition demonstration in the country to date.

Raut also pointed to a growing atmosphere of discontent towards Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, suggesting that central officials are increasingly anxious about the public’s anger.

He described Delhi as resembling a military camp, with heavy security forces, including the BSF and armed personnel, deployed around the residences of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to prevent potential protests.

Notably, Raut mentioned that prominent lawyers like Kapil Sibal have taken to the streets, as opposition forces unite against institutional failures of integrity nationwide.

He announced that opposition parties from across India would gather at Parliament’s Makar Dwar and march to the Election Commission‘s office to present solid evidence. Raut demanded that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar come forward to answer the public’s questions instead of hiding.

In a critique of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Raut pointed out that Maharashtra is grappling with drought and rising corruption, yet Shinde appears to be lounging in Delhi like a paying guest at the Home Minister’s residence. He deemed it shameful to announce the list of drought-affected talukas while fleeing to Delhi.

Finally, Raut addressed the issue of legislators switching parties, asserting that respect cannot be bought with money. He remarked that while one might acquire police escort vehicles or large sums of money, the sentiments of the people remain unpurchasable. When students label someone a “traitor,” it reflects the genuine voice of the populace.
