Mumbai, April 5: Samsung is poised to unveil the Galaxy S26 FE 5G, its latest budget-friendly smartphone. Recently, the device was spotted on the Geekbench platform under the model number SM-S741U. This model is expected to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2500 SoC.
The Exynos 2500 is an octa-core processor, consisting of two Cluster 1 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz, five Cluster 2 cores at 2.36 GHz, two Cluster 3 cores at 2.75 GHz, and one Cluster 4 core at 3.30 GHz. This chipset was announced in June 2025, indicating that the Galaxy S26 FE 5G could launch around the same timeframe as its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE, which debuted in September 2025.
While Samsung has yet to provide specific details about the S26 FE, it is anticipated to run on Android 17 right out of the box. Samsung is known for being among the first to roll out Android OS updates for its flagship devices, making the upcoming announcement highly anticipated.
