Sadia Shares Heartfelt Insights on Dadi Ki Shaadi and Working with Legends

Mumbai, May 6: Actress Sadia Khateeb is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming family drama film ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi.’ In a recent exclusive interview, she shared memorable moments spent with experienced actors during the film’s production.

Sadia expressed her enthusiasm for the film, stating that its story resonated deeply with her. She didn’t hesitate to sign on, saying, “When I first heard the story, it took me less than a minute to say yes. In fact, I signed this film well before my last release, ‘Diplomat.’ After playing intense roles, I wanted to explore something different. This change was essential for me as an artist. The film tells a story about family, relationships, and the bond with parents, which I personally wanted to share with the world.”

Reflecting on her relationship with her grandmother, she said, “A few years ago, I lost my grandmother during Raksha Bandhan. I was very close to her. My grandfather passed away a long time ago as well. When I heard the script for ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi,’ I felt how relatable this story would be for many. I have beautiful memories with my grandmother, and even today, thinking about her feels like it was just yesterday. I got the chance to portray that sacred relationship on screen.”

Regarding the film’s title, Sadia noted that such films are rare today. “It’s a family film that offers a complete package of comedy, sadness, and emotions. The best part is that it won’t hurt anyone’s sentiments. There are no political controversies; you can watch it with children and the elderly.”

In ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi,’ Sadia had the opportunity to work alongside renowned names like Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma. She described this experience as a “learning experience.” “When you are with such legends, even ten minutes spent with them can teach you a lot. The atmosphere on set was so simple and comfortable that I never felt stressed. They are such great people that they made the work feel easy. Working with them felt like being part of a joyful environment rather than under a heavy workload.”
