Muzaffarnagar, August 13: The Uttar Pradesh government has withdrawn cases against several leaders, including former Union Minister Dr. Sanjeev Balyan, Sadhvi Prachi, former Minister Suresh Rana, former MP Kunwar Bharatendu, and Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, related to the Muzaffarnagar riots.
Following government orders, the Special MP/MLA Court has dismissed these cases. The accused faced charges for inciting speeches and private complaints. Sadhvi Prachi expressed her happiness over the withdrawal of these cases.
These cases had been under continuous hearing, and now, as per the government’s directive, all cases have been dismissed, providing relief to the involved leaders, including Sadhvi Prachi.
In an interview with a news agency, Sadhvi Prachi expressed her joy, stating that during the events in Muzaffarnagar in 2013, she had gone there to protect the dignity, safety, and honor of Hindus.
She made serious allegations against the then Samajwadi Party government and Azam Khan, claiming that riots were instigated in Muzaffarnagar at that time. Sadhvi Prachi asserted that she and her associates worked for the safety of the Hindu community and were later embroiled in cases as part of a political propaganda.
She thanked the Muzaffarnagar court for her honorable acquittal. Sadhvi Prachi stated that a fair investigation and action had taken place in the matter. She also expressed gratitude towards the Bharatiya Janata Party government, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and the administration.
Sadhvi Prachi specifically thanked the Bharatiya Janata Party and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasizing that the government maintained fairness in the case, leading to her relief after the court proceedings. She expressed her appreciation for the judiciary, government, and administration for this decision.
