Sachin Tendulkar Celebrates 53rd Birthday: Tributes Pour In from ICC, BCCI, and IPL Franchises

New Delhi, April 24: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 53rd birthday today. The Indian cricket community, including the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), ICC President Jay Shah, and various IPL franchises, have extended their warm wishes.

ICC President Jay Shah took to X to convey his birthday greetings, stating, “Happy birthday to our sports icon Sachin Tendulkar. Your remarkable contribution to cricket continues to inspire generations around the world to play and watch our great game, while your compassion and humanity have a lasting impact on society.”

The BCCI also shared their wishes for Tendulkar, recognizing him as a member of the 2011 World Cup-winning Indian team. They wrote, “Warm birthday wishes to the great Sachin Tendulkar.”

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla expressed his admiration on X, saying, “Happy birthday, Sachin Tendulkar. Your extraordinary journey is defined not just by your unmatched achievements on the field, but also by the values of integrity, discipline, and sportsmanship that you have always upheld. Your contribution to the growth of cricket and its recognition worldwide is immense, inspiring generations of players and administrators. Wishing you good health, happiness, and many more years of guiding and inspiring the world of cricket.”

All IPL franchises have also sent their birthday wishes to Tendulkar.

Mumbai Indians shared a photo of Sachin cutting a cake on their X account, captioning it, “That little boy who became the heartbeat of every cricket lover. Happy birthday, Sachin Tendulkar.”

It’s worth noting that Sachin has played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL and has been a mentor for the team since his retirement.

Punjab Kings shared a photo of Sachin celebrating his 2011 World Cup victory, writing, “Happy birthday to the great man who continues to inspire generations.”

Kolkata Knight Riders congratulated Tendulkar with a photo featuring their captain Ajinkya Rahane and vice-captain Rinku Singh alongside him.

Delhi Capitals shared a mixed video of Sachin’s childhood and him lifting the 2011 World Cup trophy, stating, “Sachin sir, may your day be as special for us as you are.”

Lucknow Super Giants released a video featuring Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who wishes him a happy birthday and says he will meet him soon. The video includes several pictures of Sachin and Arjun.

Arjun Tendulkar is part of the Lucknow Super Giants for IPL 2026.

Royal Challengers Bangalore remarked, “Every generation has seen its hero in one name, and that name is Sachin Tendulkar. A person who not only played cricket but turned it into a religion, a refuge, and a reason to believe. Happy birthday, God of Cricket.”

Gujarat Titans wrote, “Celebrate that great man who turned ‘Sachin, Sachin’ into an emotion.”

Chennai Super Kings added, “Every time you stepped onto the field, every innings became a story defining the game for decades. Happy birthday to the God of Cricket.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad concluded with, “Straight drive. Desert Storm. 100 centuries. Happy birthday, Master Blaster.”
