Mumbai, May 7: Popular television actress Rupali Ganguly is not only known for her acting but also for her outspoken views on social issues. She has frequently raised awareness about the environment and nature. Recently, ahead of World Environment Day, Rupali participated in a special initiative, which she shared through a video on Instagram. In memory of her late father, she planted a tree and urged the public to protect the Earth and increase greenery.

In the video posted on Instagram, Rupali is seen actively participating in the tree-planting campaign. The video begins with her stepping out of her car, and she enthusiastically engages in the planting process. At various points, she is seen adding soil and assisting others.

Fans have praised her initiative, noting that messages from artists can have a positive impact on society.

Along with the video, Rupali wrote a heartfelt caption, stating, “Being a part of this campaign was an honor for me. I had the opportunity to plant a tree, and being part of the lead-up to World Environment Day was a very special experience. Planting a tree in my father’s name made this moment even more emotional and memorable.”

It is noteworthy that Rupali Ganguly’s father, Anil Ganguly, was a renowned director and writer in Hindi cinema. He passed away on January 15, 2016, at the age of 82. An integral part of the Hindi film industry for many years, he directed several memorable films, including ‘Kora Kagaz’, ‘Tapsya’, ‘Saheb’, ‘Trishna’, ‘Khandan’, and ‘Hum Kadam’. Many of his films received national awards, and his work was widely appreciated by audiences.
