Ruling TRS holds ‘Rasta Roko’ against Centre’s paddy procurement stance

Hyderabad, April 6 : The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Wednesday held Rasta Roko on the National Highways as part of five-pronged agitation against the BJP-led on government over paddy procurement issue. Ministers, party MLAs, MPs and public representatives took up part in the Rasta Roko held at Kadthal-Adilabad on Nagpur National Highway, at Bootpur on Bangalore National Highway, at Kodada, Surapet, Kakirekal and Chautaupal on the Vijayawada National Highway. Telangana Rythu Bandhu Samiti president MLC Dr Palla Rajeswar Reddy who participated in the Rasta Roko at Choutuppal demanded that the Centre should procure all paddy grown in the state in the ongoing Rabi season.
