Kolkata, Mar 5 : The RPF has recovered silver ornaments weighing about 387 kgs, worth Rs 2,57 crore,from the down Rajdhani Express in Howrah station, Eastern Railway said on Friday..The ornaments, packed in packets, were seized while the RFF was frisking the sealed in leased luggage vans attached to the 12302 DN Rajdhani Express on Friday. ” On opening, 387 kg silver ornaments/bars valued ₹2.57 crore were found packed inside in different packets. on further enquiry,it was learnt that these silver ornaments/bars were falsely declared as garments etc. with malafide intention,” the ER said in a statement. The ER, accordingly informed the local ts of Customs & GST for the necessary action. The articles were handed over to the Customs department. PC KK
