Mumbai, August 14: BJP leader Rohan Gupta responded to the conclusion of the parliamentary session. Speaking to a news agency on Thursday, he stated that the entire nation witnessed the reality of the opposition. Twelve bills were passed in Parliament, yet the opposition failed to discuss any of them.
Gupta highlighted that the first-ever anti-paper leak bill was passed, but the opposition created a deadlock over it. Despite this, the government successfully passed 12 bills. He noted that when the government accepted all the demands of the opposition, including the issues they wanted to discuss, the opposition still chose to remain indecisive for the last 48 hours. This behavior demonstrated that their only aim was to create a deadlock, lacking any solutions.
The BJP leader further remarked that the public is observing whether this is the same opposition that is supposed to question the government in Parliament. Instead, the opposition uses parliamentary sessions solely for their own obstruction. The people of the country are rejecting the opposition’s politics and issues, leading to their failed attempts to sustain their political agenda through disruptions in Parliament.
He added that the entire nation saw how the government made efforts to keep Parliament functioning and encouraged opposition participation. However, the opposition’s intentions became clear. They knew that if discussions took place in Parliament, they would have to answer questions regarding Jharkhand, prompting them to orchestrate this entire scenario to avoid accountability.
Gupta also pointed out that the country is witnessing the opposition’s reality, especially in a state where the public has given them a chance. There, students are facing attacks and oppression, and their voices are being ignored. This is the true face of the opposition, which makes grand promises to students in Delhi but reveals its true nature when in power in a state.
He emphasized that the BJP government has demonstrated what is necessary for students by passing the anti-paper leak bill. The NDA government has met all the demands of the students, while the opposing government in Jharkhand is oppressing them. He urged Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal to visit Jharkhand and engage with the students. However, when politics takes precedence over student welfare, such situations arise.
