Robbers Target SBI ATM in Muzaffarpur, Police Launch Investigation

Muzaffarpur, March 8: In a brazen act, criminals targeted an ATM in the Karja police station area of Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, on Saturday night. The robbers challenged law enforcement by cutting into an ATM of the State Bank of India, executing a significant theft.

Upon receiving news of the incident, police quickly arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. According to reports, the ATM was located in Madwan along the Muzaffarpur-Chhapra main road. It is suspected that the thieves used a gas cutter to break into the machine and then absconded with it.

Local residents were alarmed when they discovered the condition of the ATM’s shutter and machine on Sunday morning. They promptly informed the Karja police station. The police team arrived at the site and began their investigation. An official stated that both the police and forensic teams are collecting scientific evidence from the scene.

To facilitate the investigation and apprehend the criminals, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed. Authorities are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify the thieves. However, the exact amount of money stolen from the ATM has not yet been disclosed.

Bank officials have been summoned to the scene, where bank personnel are conducting an official tally of the cash that was in the ATM. Currently, the bank has not shared a clear figure regarding the stolen amount with the police, but it is believed that the robbers made off with a substantial sum. Police are confident that the culprits will be apprehended soon.
