New Delhi, July 30: Industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has retained its position as the highest-ranked Indian company on the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list. Over the past four years, RIL has climbed an impressive 67 spots in the rankings.

According to the latest Fortune Global ranking released on Wednesday, Reliance Industries is placed at the 88th position. The Fortune Global 500 ranks companies based on their total revenue for financial years ending on or before March 31, 2025.
This year, nine Indian companies have made it to the Fortune Global 500 list, including five public-sector and four private-sector firms. Among the public-sector entities, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is ranked 95th.
Reliance Industries has featured in the Fortune Global 500 list for the 22nd consecutive year, a significantly longer duration compared to any other Indian private-sector company.
Although RIL slipped slightly from its 86th position in 2024 to the 88th spot this year, the conglomerate has still managed substantial growth by climbing 67 positions over the past four years. In 2021, the company was ranked 155th.
Notably, in the financial year 2024-25, Reliance Industries reported a record-high consolidated gross revenue of ₹1,071,174 crore, marking an increase of 7.1% year-on-year. Additionally, the company posted an EBITDA of ₹183,422 crore, which is 2.9% higher year-on-year.
Reliance Industries operates across diverse sectors including oil, telecommunications, and retail.
