Mumbai, March 20: Aditya Dhar’s highly anticipated film ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ has taken the audience by storm since its release. While Ranveer Singh plays the lead role, Rakesh has captured hearts with his performance in a pivotal climax scene, earning him the title of the film’s true ‘Dhurandhar.’
Social media is buzzing with praise for him, with many users referring to him as the ‘Hukum ka Ikka.’
On Friday, Rakesh shared a recent interview video on his Instagram Stories, where he discussed a humorous exchange with director Aditya Dhar. He revealed that before the film’s release, Aditya suggested he buy some boxes.
The actor stated, “The script was so powerful that Aditya told me to get some baskets to store all the accolades coming my way. We knew the film would do well, but we had no idea the craze would escalate to this level.”
Rakesh further expressed his feelings, saying, “I once told Aditya that I felt like I had been standing at the crease with a cricket bat, waiting for a loose ball. When I got that loose ball, I hit a six. I believe Aditya provided that loose ball, and I hit it out of the park.”
In ‘Dhurandhar,’ Rakesh Bedi portrayed the character Jameel Jamali, a corrupt Pakistani politician with ties to criminals. He navigated this role with a blend of humor and seriousness. While his character seemed like a side role in the first part, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ reveals Jameel Jamali in a surprising light, leaving the audience astonished when his true identity is unveiled.
