Jaipur, October 28 (Daily Kiran)। In a major success against organized crime, the Barmer Police, under the directives of the Police Headquarters, has intensified its crackdown on active criminal gangs in the district. In a joint operation, teams from Barmer Rural and Sadar Police Stations have arrested six members of the Kesar Kalvi gang, including two history-sheeters. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has reached eight, including three history-sheeters.

Attack and Loot on Former Sarpanch Representative
Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena informed that on the night of October 2, Swarup Singh Rajput, a former Sarpanch representative from Paro village, filed a complaint stating that when he was travelling from his village towards Barmer, 15–20 men in 8–10 vehicles marked “Kesar Kalvi Group Mahabar” intercepted his car near Chetak Circle, Marudi. The accused rammed his vehicle, brandished pistols, vandalized his car, snatched a 5-tola gold chain, and brutally assaulted him. Following the complaint, a case was registered at Barmer Rural Police Station under multiple serious charges, and an investigation was launched.
Under the supervision of Additional SP Jasaram Bose and CO Ramesh Kumar Sharma, special police teams led by SHO Rajuram (Rural) and SHO Sumer Singh (Sadar) were formed. The police earlier arrested two accused — Hakamsingh Rajput (history-sheeter) and Doongarsingh Ravna Rajput.
Six More Gang Members Arrested
After sustained efforts, police apprehended six more wanted members of the gang, including two notorious history-sheeters:
Kishor Singh Rajput (27), resident of Muratala Gala, PS Sadar — History-sheeter with 6 cases
Rewantsingh (31), resident of Bankalpura Mahabar, PS Sadar — History-sheeter with 8 cases
Pragsingh alias Prayagsingh (25), resident of Paro
Derawar Singh (27), resident of Patanion ki Dhani, PS Sadar
Bhawanisingh alias Bhagsingh (20), resident of Booth Jaitmal, PS Dhorimanna
Ranveersingh alias Ransingh (20), resident of Bankalpura Mahabar, PS Sadar
All arrested accused are being intensively interrogated to uncover further links and operations of the organized gang. Police officials stated that efforts are ongoing to trace and dismantle the entire network of the Kesar Kalvi gang.
