New Delhi, April 4: Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, announced that the Advanced Agricultural Festival 2026 in Raisen will be a game-changer for farming. This national agricultural fair will take place over three days, bringing new hope, innovative technologies, and market opportunities to farmers.
On Saturday, Chouhan inspected the festival site at Dussehra Maidan in Raisen alongside senior officials from the central and state governments. He provided essential directives and flagged off the festival’s promotional vehicle while engaging with local intellectuals. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare is organizing the national-level “Advanced Agricultural Festival 2026 – Exhibition and Training” at Dussehra Maidan in Raisen on April 11, 12, and 13.
Chouhan emphasized that this event is not just a fair but a significant opportunity to change farmers’ fortunes. He assured that the three-day festival would undoubtedly bring new hope to their lives. The venue has been developed with three large hangars and three seminar halls. This national agricultural fair focuses on the themes of “Government Schemes Support, Market Free from Intermediaries” and “Safe Produce, Prosperous Farmers.”
Detailed information will be provided regarding government subsidies and interest concessions for warehouses and cold storage under the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund. This initiative aims to help farmers achieve better prices through scientific storage post-harvest. The extensive fair in Raisen will feature exhibitions of modern tractors and equipment, advanced seed and fertilizer displays, organic farming stalls, and information on dairy, poultry, and aquaculture. Free training for farmers, live updates on government schemes, presentations by agricultural startups, and direct interactions with scientists and officials will also be organized.
According to the schedule, the exhibition will officially open on the evening of April 10. The main inauguration ceremony on the morning of April 11 will be addressed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as the chief guest. The closing ceremony on the evening of April 13 will see Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in attendance, where an “Agricultural Roadmap” for Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, and surrounding areas will be presented.
Minister Chouhan stated that the national agricultural fair will bring new energy and direction to farmers’ lives, proving to be the greatest opportunity to change their destinies.
