New Delhi, April 1 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday greeted people on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Ugadi and other festivals. Taking to twitter, Rahul Gandhi said: “Today people of various states are celebrating different festivals – Chaitra Navratri, Navreh, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Sajibu Cheiraoba and Chetichand. “Hope the new year brings happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life. My best wishes to all the countrymen” he said. Chaitra is the first month of the year as per the Hindu calendar. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also greeted the people. “Chaitra Shukla Pratipada – Happy New Year to all of you today, this day is celebrated all over the country in the form of various symbols of happiness and prosperity. Best wishes to Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Nowroj (Navreh), Chetichand, Sajibu Cheiraoba. May the new year infuse new energy in your life” she tweeted. JA MR
