Lucknow, April 17: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is facing increasing legal troubles regarding his alleged dual (British) citizenship. The Allahabad High Court’s Lucknow bench has issued a significant order directing the police in Raebareli to file a First Information Report (FIR) against him. Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh police have been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
This order was passed by a bench led by Justice Subhash Vidyarthi. The court accepted the petition and directed the initiation of further legal proceedings in the case.
The petitioner, Vignesh Shishir, described the ruling as a “historic and important decision” on the social media platform X. He noted that the honorable Allahabad High Court’s Lucknow bench has accepted his petition and directed the Raebareli police to register an FIR against Rahul Gandhi. He emphasized that this case is linked to national security and the broader public interest.
In his post, Vignesh Shishir also claimed that documents presented before the court allegedly contained facts related to British citizenship. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for allowing the submission of “top-secret files” to the court.
According to the petitioner, the Uttar Pradesh government also requested that the investigation be handed over to a central agency. The court has granted permission for the case to be transferred to the CBI.
Vignesh Shishir further stated that he is facing serious security threats while pursuing this case. He has appealed to the Ministry of Home Affairs for enhanced security at the highest level across the country, requesting adequate protection through the CRPF.
He thanked the citizens, supporters, and “nationalist brothers and sisters,” stating that without their support, blessings, and prayers, he could not advance this crucial case. He also expressed hope for continued cooperation and divine blessings in the upcoming legal proceedings.
