Bengaluru, May 4: Karnataka’s opposition leader R. Ashoka shared his thoughts on the election results from five states, including West Bengal, on Monday. He stated in an interview that for the first time in Bengal’s history, the BJP is set to form a government with a significant majority, which is a momentous occasion for everyone involved.
He emphasized that it cannot be dismissed that the people of West Bengal have grown weary of Mamata Banerjee‘s governance. Ashoka pointed out that her administration has shown a clear disregard for the public’s interests, leading to the current state of the TMC in West Bengal.
Ashoka noted that a large number of infiltrators have entered West Bengal, taking away jobs from the local populace. Given these circumstances, he declared that from now on, no infiltrator or extremist will be able to enter West Bengal.
The opposition leader described the day as a celebratory one for the BJP. With the party poised to form a government in West Bengal, he also mentioned that a government is set to emerge in Puducherry. Furthermore, he asserted that in Tamil Nadu, a government cannot be formed without BJP’s support. Overall, he stated that the current situation is favorable for the BJP across the board.
Ashoka also mentioned that they are preparing to establish a presence in Kerala and that they have secured a substantial majority in Assam.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this victory, asserting that without his efforts, such success would not have been possible. The favorable conditions for the BJP today are a direct result of Modi’s leadership. Ashoka concluded by noting that the public’s trust in Prime Minister Modi is evident, with many believing he will meet their expectations.
