Punjab CM Bhagwant Manns Cousin Joins BJP, Welcomed by Haryana CM and Punjab BJP President

Chandigarh, May 11: Gyan Singh Mann, the cousin of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. His induction into the party took place in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar.

A video of Gyan Singh Mann joining the BJP was shared on Punjab BJP’s social media platform ‘X’. Both Nayab Singh Saini and Sunil Jakhar welcomed him into the party.

The Punjab BJP stated on their ‘X’ platform that the people of Punjab are now seeking development and strong leadership, which only the BJP can provide. The state is rapidly moving towards ‘Mission 2027’, with the Aam Aadmi Party’s influence reportedly waning.

The Punjab BJP further emphasized that the party is gaining strength day by day in the state. This development marks a significant political blow to the incumbent ruling party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, as Gyan Singh Mann’s shift to the BJP is seen as a loss of trust from within AAP.

Nayab Singh Saini and Sunil Jakhar held a joint press conference following the announcement. Sunil Jakhar expressed his happiness over Gyan Singh Mann’s decision to join the BJP, stating that those who were misled by the Aam Aadmi Party are now waking up to the reality.

He also mentioned that Baljinder Singh, who runs a dhaba, faced a GST raid that shut down his kitchen, highlighting the challenges faced by local businesses. Jakhar warned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that Punjab will not become like West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee. He asserted that, similar to the TMC, the Aam Aadmi Party will be cleared out from Punjab.

Jakhar condemned the vandalism by AAP workers at the Amritsar BJP office, stating that neither the ED nor the CBI will be deterred by such actions.
