Dhuri, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann initiated a door-to-door election campaign from Dhuri on Sunday. This campaign aims to directly engage with citizens and share a report card of his government’s four-and-a-half years in office. Central to the campaign is the theme of “Mann Da Munafa,” which translates to the benefits brought to the people.
During the launch, Mann emphasized that initiatives such as free electricity, healthcare, education, and the Maan Dhiyaan Satkaar scheme have collectively saved each family in Punjab approximately ₹1.82 lakh annually. He noted that these savings come from reduced expenses on essential services.
The CM received a warm welcome from the public as he visited homes to discuss government initiatives. He pledged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would present its accomplishments since 2022 to every household, focusing on the positive impacts of their policies.
Mann stated that the party would seek support based on its track record and would challenge the opposition on issues regarding governance and drug-related problems. Throughout the campaign, he interacted with various segments of society, including seniors, women, youth, and children, listening to their opinions and discussing the government’s achievements.
He reiterated that families should assess their savings, which he described as the essence of “Mann Da Munafa.” The CM explained that the government’s welfare programs have significantly lowered household expenses, allowing families to allocate their earnings to other necessities.
Mann highlighted that free services in electricity, healthcare, and education have relieved families from the financial burden of these essential services. Many households are now receiving zero electricity bills, enabling them to spend those savings on children’s education and agricultural needs. He also pointed out that reforms in public schools have increased parental confidence, allowing them to avoid the high fees of private institutions.
Addressing rural development, Mann mentioned that his government has transformed the approach to resource distribution in villages. For the first time in Punjab’s history, every village is receiving substantial funding for development projects, including roads, drainage systems, and community buildings. This funding is equitably distributed, regardless of political support, ensuring that all communities benefit.
The CM concluded by stating that the door-to-door campaign would expand throughout Punjab, with party workers and candidates directly presenting the government’s achievements to the public. He expressed confidence in the party’s record of work, encouraging citizens to recognize the tangible benefits delivered to their families.
