Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Criticizes Opposition Parties for Corruption

Bhagwant Mann accuses Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP of uniting to exploit Punjabs resources for their political gain.

Chandigarh, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a scathing attack on the Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP during a rally in Patiala on Monday. He labeled these parties as entirely corrupt, claiming they have joined forces to halt the state’s development and protect their shared political interests.

Mann described the upcoming political battle as “one versus all,” asserting that despite having different flags and election symbols, these parties aim to exploit Punjab and its people.

Speaking at a public gathering in Ghanuar, Mann pointed out that traditional parties feel threatened by a common man working sincerely for the welfare of all sections of society. He emphasized that the love and blessings of the Punjabi people are his greatest strength. He warned the opposition that, just like in 2022, the public would send their prominent leaders packing in 2027.

He clarified that while their flags and election symbols may differ, their intentions are unified. They cannot tolerate that Punjab’s resources are now being used for the welfare of the people rather than being controlled by a handful of political families.

Mann accused these political parties of colluding to plunder Punjab, while he has stood with the 32.5 crore Punjabis in both joy and sorrow. He noted that traditional parties are targeting him because they realize that people are no longer willing to accept their deceit, corruption, and family-centered politics.

He stated, “During their tenure, Akali leaders monopolized every business. They forced their share into every commercial venture, while I chose to stand with the common people.” He remarked that they are uncomfortable because his government is focused on serving ordinary citizens rather than powerful families.

Highlighting the affection he receives during his visits to villages, Mann reiterated that the love and blessings of the people are his biggest strength and reward for serving Punjab. He remarked, “Whenever I visit villages, my turban fills with flowers as people shower their love and blessings on me. I do not have the support of any powerful family or wealthy class, but I have the blessings of the people. As long as the people of Punjab stand with me, I have no fear of the opposition.”
