Pune, May 3: A tragic incident involving the rape and murder of a four-year-old girl in Nasrapur, Bhore tehsil of Pune district, has sparked outrage and sorrow across the region. Numerous politicians and ministers have been visiting the victim’s family to express their condolences. However, the victim’s father has issued a video message stating that he does not require any political meetings or sympathy until his daughter receives full justice. He emphasized that this fight will continue until the perpetrator is punished.
In the video, the father mentioned that he is currently in Dehu for the immersion of his daughter’s ashes. During this time, he received calls informing him that several politicians were arriving at their home. He expressed that his family is in deep pain and only seeks justice, not formal visits.
He firmly stated that no leader or representative should come to their home until the guilty party is sentenced to death. His sole demand is justice, and he insists it must be strict.
The father also indicated that he would be willing to meet those who wish to see him only after the accused is sentenced to death. He described this as a humble request, emphasizing that his family seeks peace and justice, not political formalities.
It is important to note that this incident occurred on May 1, when a minor girl, visiting her grandmother during the summer holidays, was lured away by a 65-year-old man under the pretext of showing her a calf at around 3:30 PM. The man allegedly raped the minor and subsequently killed her, hiding her body under a pile of dung.
According to reports, the accused has been arrested. The police presented him in court, where he was remanded to police custody until May 7. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
