
New Delhi, May 24: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met with 36 families in Harsh Vihar on Sunday, who had been waiting for electricity connections for an extended period. The Chief Minister issued directives to the electricity department to expedite the provision of these connections. She shared this update on social media.
In a post on the platform X, Chief Minister Gupta noted that these families in Harsh Vihar A-3 had waited years for their electricity connections. The relief visible on their faces today is proof that sensitive efforts can bring real change to people’s lives.
She assured the families that her government is always ready to address the issues faced by Delhi residents. During a public hearing, when the families expressed that they had been waiting since 2018 for their connections, immediate instructions were given. New transformers are being installed on a mission mode to provide the much-needed electricity connections. MP Manoj Tiwari was also present at the event.
Earlier, Chief Minister Gupta engaged with a delegation of farmers at the Chief Minister’s Service House, discussing their issues, agricultural topics, and regional needs in detail. She instructed officials to ensure timely and sensitive solutions to matters concerning farmers’ welfare.
The farmer representatives welcomed the Delhi government’s decision to resume wheat purchases at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), promote solar energy in fields, and various other initiatives aimed at benefiting farmers. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the Delhi government is fully committed to farmer welfare, agricultural empowerment, and the overall development of villages.
