Poco X8 Pro Series Pricing Leaked Ahead of Launch in India

Mumbai, March 17: Poco is set to unveil the Poco X8 Pro series in India and global markets today at 5:30 PM IST / 20:00 GMT+8. The lineup includes the Poco X8 Pro, Poco X8 Pro Max, and a special Iron Man Edition. Ahead of the launch, leaked information has revealed the expected pricing for the Indian market.

According to tipster Paras Guglani, the Poco X8 Pro will start at ₹33,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model is expected to cost ₹37,999. The Poco X8 Pro Max will be available in two storage options: the 12GB + 256GB version may be priced at ₹41,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model could cost ₹45,999.

The leak also hints at a potential introductory offer for the base Poco X8 Pro model. Buyers might receive a ₹3,000 discount, effectively lowering the price of the 8GB + 256GB variant. It remains unclear if this offer will extend to the higher memory versions or the Poco X8 Pro Max models.

Additionally, the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition is anticipated to launch alongside the standard variants, with a price tag of ₹43,999. With launch offers, the effective price could drop to around ₹40,999, likely through instant bank offers or cashback.

If these leaked prices are accurate, the Poco X8 Pro series will debut at a higher price point than its predecessor. The Poco X7 Pro launched in India last year at ₹27,999 without any launch offers, indicating a price increase of approximately ₹6,000. This rise aligns with the broader smartphone market trend, where increasing component costs are driving prices upward.

Earlier details from the Flipkart microsite have disclosed key specifications of the devices. The Poco X8 Pro features an 8.3mm glass body with a scratch-resistant matte finish and a metal frame, weighing 201g. It boasts IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with SGS certification.

The phone is equipped with a 6.59-inch 1.5K display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3500 nits. For photography, it utilizes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with an f/1.5 aperture and both optical and electronic image stabilization, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera offering a 120-degree field of view. Both camera modules feature striking red accent rings.

The camera system supports 4K 60fps video recording, 4K night video, zero delay shutter, and motion capture. AI editing tools include Image Enhancement for clarity, Image Expansion for extending scenes, Magic Eraser Pro for object removal, and Sky Replacement for altering the sky in photos.

Audio is delivered through dual 1115F symmetrical stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, offering a 400 percent volume boost and a dedicated low-volume nighttime mode.

The Poco X8 Pro Max shares most features but comes with a larger 6.83-inch display and replaces the Sony IMX882 camera with a 50MP Light Fusion 600 sensor.

Both models will be available in Black, White, and Light Blue color options in India through Flipkart, alongside the limited Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition.
