New Delhi, March 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently drew attention on social media with two compelling stories aimed at encouraging citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles, reduce sugar intake, and practice yoga.
In the first Instagram story, social media influencer Yuvraj Dua made a heartfelt request to PM Modi to address the issue of sweets in his next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode. Yuvraj shared a touching story about his father, emphasizing the deep admiration his dad has for the Prime Minister. He humorously noted that if faced with a life-or-death choice between saving his family or PM Modi from a burning building, his father would choose Modi without hesitation.
Yuvraj expressed that his father’s unwavering respect for the Prime Minister influences his habits. He stated, “If you speak against sweets in your next episode, my father’s sugar levels will improve, as our words alone aren’t curbing his love for jalebis.”
In a follow-up post, PM Modi shared another story urging everyone to focus on their health. He advised, “Pay attention to your health. Eat well and choose healthy foods. Excessive sugar can lead to various diseases and increase the risk of obesity. Incorporate yoga into your daily routine; it’s a fantastic way to stay fit and active.”
This isn’t the first time PM Modi has encouraged a healthy lifestyle. Last May, he urged citizens to combat obesity and reduce oil consumption in their diets. Following this, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) initiated awareness campaigns across states, promoting balanced diets and low-oil foods.
The message was clear: reducing oil intake by 10% can help combat obesity and heart-related diseases.
