Lucknow, May 21: Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar announced that a cabinet meeting has been convened in Delhi to discuss Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent foreign tour. The meeting will focus on the discussions held during the visit to five countries, the achievements gained, and their implementation.
In an exclusive interview with a news agency on Thursday, Rajbhar stated that the cabinet meeting aims to advance the process of implementing various plans and agreements discussed during the Prime Minister’s travels.
Rajbhar also responded sharply to controversial remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi about PM Modi. He remarked, “When the supwa speaks, it’s just talk; the real issue lies in the seventy-two holes.” He recalled that during the Congress regime, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed a state of emergency, sidelining the Constitution. Targeting Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, he noted that during the Muzaffarnagar riots, the state was engulfed in violence while the then Chief Minister was preoccupied with the Saifai Mahotsav. “The Constitution does not state that the Chief Minister should participate in festivities during unrest and violence,” he added.
Rajbhar further criticized opposition parties for their continuous negative rhetoric without reflecting on their own actions. He asserted that the Constitution is safe in the hands of PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He suggested that the opposition’s fear of losing power is driving such statements.
Regarding Governor Anandiben Patel’s directive to enforce a dress code in all universities and degree colleges, Rajbhar supported the decision. He stated that a uniform system would be implemented across the state’s educational institutions to ensure consistency, eliminating any potential issues.
