
New Delhi, March 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the great freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma on his death anniversary. He emphasized that Varma’s life and ideals will continue to inspire every generation of the nation to serve the country.
On Monday, PM Modi shared a post on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “I respectfully pay tribute to the brave son of Mother India, Shyamji Krishna Varma, on his death anniversary. He ignited a new consciousness in the freedom movement with his revolutionary thoughts. His life and ideals will inspire every generation to serve the nation.”
In another post, PM Modi wrote, “The life of the great freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma provides us with remarkable inspiration for courage and determination. It instills in the citizens a sense of duty towards the nation.”
On this occasion, he also shared a ‘Sanskrit Subhashitam’, which reads, “Vichitracharitollekhachamatkaritachetanaṁ. Prāpyate kiṁ yaśaḥ śubhramaṇṅgīkṛtya sāhasam.” The Sanskrit verse conveys that “only by embracing courage can one achieve bright fame that astonishes the mind through the description of extraordinary deeds.”
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also paid tribute to Shyamji Krishna Varma, stating, “The great revolutionary Shyamji Krishna Varma, who energized the resolve for India’s freedom through his revolutionary activities, was an inspiration to many revolutionaries. I humbly salute him on his memorial day.”
Union Minister of State for Finance and President of UP BJP, Pankaj Chaudhary, posted, “On the death anniversary of the immortal son of the Indian freedom struggle, Shyamji Krishna Varma, I offer my humble tribute. His sacrifice, dedication, and revolutionary thoughts for the nation’s freedom will always inspire the citizens.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also paid her respects, stating, “The life of Shyamji Krishna Varma, who ignited the flame of the freedom struggle on foreign soil, symbolizes unwavering patriotism. His thoughts, courage, and immense dedication to the motherland will always inspire us.”
Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa posted on ‘X’, “I offer my humble tribute on the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma. Even while living abroad, he ignited the flame of India’s freedom, organized revolutionaries, and gave new direction to the freedom movement through ‘India House.’ His love for the nation, courage, and sacrifice will always inspire future generations.”
