Mumbai, April 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the Amrit Bharat Express from Ayodhya to Mumbai has been warmly welcomed by the saint community, who view it as a significant step for regional development. Mahant Raju Das, Swami Mahesh Yogi, Mahant Sitaram Das Maharaj of Saket Bhawan Temple, and Arya Saint Varun Das Maharaj expressed that this new rail service will enhance connectivity for Ayodhya, providing great convenience for pilgrims and tourists alike.
Mahant Raju Das expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister in a conversation with a news agency, stating that efforts to connect Ayodhya on both national and global levels are commendable. He noted that this initiative will attract a larger number of pilgrims and tourists, making their journey significantly easier. He also mentioned that the government’s steps to strengthen infrastructure are further enhancing Ayodhya’s identity.
Swami Mahesh Yogi highlighted Ayodhya as a center of religion and spirituality, noting that it had been neglected for a long time. However, he acknowledged the extensive development it has undergone in recent years, crediting Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this transformation. According to him, the launch of the Amrit Bharat Express will strengthen Ayodhya’s connection with Mumbai, the economic capital of the country, thereby promoting religious and cultural tourism.
Mahant Sitaram Das Maharaj called it a fortunate day, stating that the operation of this train will provide significant relief to travelers between Mumbai and Ayodhya. He emphasized that Ayodhya’s cultural identity is now spreading further across the country and the world, and such initiatives will accelerate its growth. He also expressed hope that similar efforts will continue to promote Sanatan culture in the country.
Meanwhile, Arya Saint Varun Das Maharaj remarked that the Amrit Bharat Express will be a special convenience for devotees. He emphasized its spiritual significance, stating that visiting Ayodhya to see the deities is akin to experiencing ‘amrit’ (nectar), and now, with this new rail service, more people will be able to visit.
