PM Modi Celebrates Historic Mandate in Five States

New Delhi, May 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi, celebrating the mandate received from five states, including West Bengal and Assam. He described the day as historic and unprecedented, reflecting on the joy that comes from years of dedication transforming into achievement. “Today, I see that joy on the faces of BJP workers across the nation,” he stated.

Modi expressed solidarity with every BJP worker, emphasizing the significance of the day. “This is a day of proclamation for India‘s bright future, a day of trust in our great democracy, performance-based politics, and the resolve for stability. It symbolizes the spirit of ‘One India, Great India’,” he said. He bowed respectfully to the people of Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, acknowledging their support.

He also honored the dedication of BJP workers, stating, “Every worker, big or small, has once again achieved remarkable success. You have created a new history.” These elections were the first assembly polls since Nitin Naveen took over as party president, and the guidance received by party workers was invaluable for this victory.

The results of various by-elections were also encouraging, with BJP candidates winning in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Nagaland, and Tripura. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sunetra Pawar, also secured a significant victory. Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the citizens of these states for their support, stating, “Victory and defeat are natural parts of democracy and electoral politics. However, the people of five states have shown the world why India is the mother of democracy.”

He emphasized that democracy is not merely a system but a deep-rooted value in our culture. “Today, not only has India’s democracy triumphed, but our Constitution has also won. Our constitutional institutions and democratic processes have prevailed. The victory and defeat are inherent in democracy and politics, but the people of these five states have demonstrated why our country is the birthplace of democracy,” he concluded.
