PM Modi Celebrates 45th Anniversary of Art of Living in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 45th anniversary celebration of the Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru on Sunday.

PM Modi expressed, “This morning brings a unique experience. The welcoming Vedic chants from children, the blessings of Lord Ganesha, and the 70th birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar are moments that will always remain in my memory. Gurudev rightly said that my gratitude cannot be expressed in words. I am here for you, among you, and because of you.”

He announced the inauguration of a divine and grand meditation temple. When intentions are clear and actions are driven by a spirit of service, every effort yields positive results. Regardless of other circumstances, we are all under the ‘Lotus’ umbrella, and with Gurudev’s blessings, this ‘Lotus’ will elevate the nation to new heights. The atmosphere in Bengaluru is unique. This city is globally recognized for software and services, yet it has also elevated India’s cultural identity and spiritual consciousness.

The Prime Minister noted that today, people worldwide are influenced by India’s spiritual values and draw inspiration from its ancient traditions. It was this spirit that led Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to plant the seed of the Art of Living 45 years ago. Today, it stands like a vast banyan tree before us.

PM Modi emphasized that any campaign succeeds when it connects with the power of society. Therefore, awakening societal strength is essential for every significant mission. I have always believed that society is more powerful than politics and governments. A government can only succeed when society actively participates in nation-building.

In his address, the Prime Minister praised the focus on youth power. He stated, “The world is rapidly changing. Every day, science opens new doors of possibilities. Innovations are transforming entire economies. India is not just participating in this change; it is leading in many sectors.”

He remarked, “India is a land of diversity, with many languages, traditions, and worship practices. We often wonder what fundamental element unites all these. The answer is living for others, not just for oneself.”

PM Modi added, “Our digital revolution has made India a global leader in digital payments. Infrastructure is advancing at an unprecedented pace with a futuristic vision. India has quickly become the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world. Our youth are sending satellites into space. The greatest contributors to these achievements are our youth and the Art of Living.”

The Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru, established by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is a prominent meditation and spiritual center. Spanning 250 acres, this ashram offers basic and advanced courses, residential programs, and a peaceful environment for stress-free living through yoga, meditation, and Sudarshan Kriya.
