PM Imran arrives at PTI’s power show in Islamabad

Islamabad, March 27 : Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived at the Parade Ground in the capital Islamabad to participate in the so called “historic” power show of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Express Tribune reported here on Sunday. Khan will be addressing the political gathering shortly. Party workers have arrived here from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and other parts of the country to show their support for the Pakistan prime minister ahead of the no-confidence motion against him in the National Assembly. Prior to Khan’s arrival several other party leaders addressed those gathered there, including Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid who labelled the opposition leaders as “gang of three”. Similarly, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said the joint opposition PDM cannot defeat Imran Khan and asked the premier to announce the date of elections to tell his opponents that “people of Pakistan were standing with” him. Others PTI leaders Pervaiz Khattak, Ali Zaidi, Shafqat Mahmood, Murad Saeed, Qasim Khan Suri, and Faisal Javed have also addressed the gathering. The PTI leaders exuded confidence that PM Imran will not go anywhere and the opposition’s efforts against the premier will prove to be a failure. ACL1857
