Tezpur, April 6: Assam Minister Piyush Hazarika has made serious allegations against Congress leader Pawan Khera, stating that Khera’s mental health is deteriorating. In an interview with a news agency, Hazarika referred to Khera’s recent statements as signs of an unstable mind.
Hazarika pointed out discrepancies in documents presented by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, the wife of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He noted that the spelling of Sarma’s name was incorrectly written as ‘SHAREMA’ in one instance, while the date of birth was inconsistently listed as either 1973 or 1996, calling these claims baseless.
He emphasized that the Congress party would not succeed in changing the sentiments of the people of Assam through falsehoods. According to Hazarika, the people of Assam have firmly decided to support the BJP and Narendra Modi for a third consecutive term. He suggested that this realization has further unsettled Congress leaders.
Hazarika also mentioned an incident involving a lost passport. He claimed that an individual had posted on social media about a lost visa and subsequently forged a document attributed to Riniki Bhuyan Sarma. He asserted that this was all fabricated and that they had managed to uncover the truth.
Previously, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma dismissed the allegations made by Khera, labeling the documents against his family as fake and part of a malicious propaganda campaign. In a post on X, Sarma highlighted the inconsistencies in the publicly shared documents, suggesting they had been digitally altered. He pointed out that the surname ‘Sarma’ was incorrectly represented in English, raising questions about the authenticity of the documents. Additionally, he noted that the images used appeared to be publicly available photos rather than biometric captures.
