Islamabad, April 18 : Pakistan President Arif Alvi on Monday excused himself from administering oath to the federal cabinet members, thus, postponing the ceremony. According to Geo News, the federal cabinet was scheduled to take oath on Mondaybut the President refused to administer oaths. The oath-taking ceremony will take place either on Tuesday or Wednesday and in the absence of President Alvi, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani will administer the oath, the sources said. Earlier, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah has revealed that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) would have the majority in the Cabinet with 14 ministries, PPP 11 and JUI-F will get four ministries. Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the ruling PML-N leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif have called on the coalition government for holding early elections. “In my personal opinion, we should go to the people as soon as possible and take a new mandate,” Asif said while addressing the National Assembly.
