Hyderabad, April 8 : As a part of the ongoing five-pronged protests by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) demanding that the Centre should procure paddy from the state, party leaders and workers hoisted black flags atop their houses across the state on Friday. The party leaders and workers also took out processions and staged dharnas wearing black badges and scarves in villages against the on Government’s stand on the procurement issue. In Warangal district ,the TRS workers took out a “funeral procession” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi protesting against the Centre’s move not to purchase paddy from the state. Meanwhile, TRS leaders are engaged in mobilising thousands of party leaders and cadres in different parts of the state for the day-long dharna to be staged in Delhi on April 11 to press the party’s demand that the on Government should procure paddy grown in the ongoing rabi season in the state. TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who is camping in Delhi since Sunday last is overseeing the arrangements for the next Monday dharna in the National Capital, according to sources.
