During a ceremony held in Banaskantha, Gujarat, Modi also disbursed over ₹18,690 crore to more than 9.34 crore farmer families across India.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in the event via video conferencing from his official residence. He emphasized the connection between national prosperity and farmer welfare, highlighting their role as the country’s “annadata” or food provider. Sharma welcomed the latest installment, noting that it has provided significant financial support to over 6.6 million farming families in the state.

Since the scheme’s inception in 2019, Rajasthan’s farmers have received over ₹29,099 crore through 23 previous installments. Nationwide, approximately ₹4.47 lakh crore has been transferred to farmers’ accounts under this initiative.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated that the welfare and empowerment of farmers are top priorities for the central government. He noted that the agricultural budget has seen a fivefold increase compared to 2013-14. Over the past 12 years, various government schemes have benefited farmers by nearly ₹50 lakh crore.

Modi highlighted that under the PM-Kisan scheme alone, small farmers have received around ₹4.5 lakh crore. He assured that the government has taken steps to protect farmers and consumers from global uncertainties and rising food prices, spending about ₹16 lakh crore to provide affordable food grains.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to offering a profitable minimum support price (MSP) to farmers. He mentioned that over ₹24 lakh crore has been transferred to wheat and rice producers. Additionally, the PM Fasal Bima Yojana has provided nearly ₹2 lakh crore in crop insurance compensation, ensuring financial security during agricultural losses.

Discussing irrigation costs, Modi noted that the PM-KUSUM scheme has provided 12 lakh solar pumps to farmers, saving over 80 crore liters of diesel and creating opportunities for electricity generation.

He stressed the importance of technology and scientific innovation in agriculture, stating that over 26 crore soil health cards have been issued nationwide. Farmers now have access to 3,000 new seed varieties developed for changing climatic conditions.

In the livestock and dairy sector, the government has administered around 150 crore vaccine doses to protect animals from various diseases, contributing to a significant increase in milk production. Modi revealed that the average daily milk yield per cow or buffalo has risen from less than five liters in 2013-14 to nearly eight liters now, making India the world’s largest milk producer.

He also mentioned promoting cooperatives in the fisheries sector and highlighted India’s position as the second-largest exporter of natural honey globally.

Modi concluded by stating that amidst global uncertainties, India’s development offers new hope to the world. He reiterated the government’s goal of transforming India into a developed nation.

On October 31, he encouraged citizens to participate in the “Run for Unity” to strengthen the resolve of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India). He also reflected on his 25 years of public service as the head of government, sharing insights on how public service can contribute to national progress.

During the event, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects and launched new initiatives, including flagging off two rail services, the Ahmedabad (Sabarmati)-Varanasi Express.
