New Delhi, July 29: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has raised concerns regarding the education system in Maharashtra, particularly in light of the NEET paper leak scandal.
Speaking to reporters about the ‘Anti-Paper Leak’ bill, Raut stated, “Over 2,000 government schools have already closed in Maharashtra. Whether it’s the Maharashtra government or any other state with a BJP government, we can see how serious they are about crucial issues like education. Maharashtra was once considered a model state in education, but today, 2,000 schools have shut down.”
He further commented, “Just yesterday, a fake degree scam emerged at Pune University and surrounding areas. There was also a marksheet scam, along with leaks of TET and MPSC exam papers. This is the current state of education in Maharashtra. Millions are being scammed in the Education Department right under Devendra Fadnavis’s nose, and now they are bringing this bill to lecture us.”
Raut accused, “More than half of the culprits in the NEET paper leak case are from Pune and Latur. The people setting the papers are affiliated with the BJP. Individuals with a specific ideology are appointed to set the papers, and they engage their workers to make money.”
He added, “Devendra Fadnavis could be the best education minister. He should be brought here. Prime Minister Modi has also told him that he must come, so what are we waiting for? Educated individuals like Devendra Fadnavis should be appointed as education ministers.”
