Outrage in Ranchi After Hotel Managers Murder Sparks Road Blockade
Residents of Ranchi protested the murder of hotel manager Baleshwar Gorai, blocking roads and demanding justice and compensation for the victims family.

Ranchi, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Residents in Ranchi’s Pithoria area expressed their anger on Friday evening by blocking roads in response to the murder of hotel manager Baleshwar Gorai. The protest erupted after Gorai was fatally attacked late Thursday night while returning home from work at Krishna Hotel.
Witnesses reported that unknown assailants struck Gorai with a sharp weapon near the Karakatta turn on the Pithoria-Thakurganj road. His family began searching for him when he did not return home by late Thursday night. Tragically, they discovered his bloodied body by the roadside the following morning.
The demonstration involved local villagers and Gorai’s relatives, who demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and fair compensation for the victim’s family. Traffic was severely disrupted as vehicles lined up on both sides of the road for hours. Local police intervened after about two hours to clear the blockade.
Gorai, originally from Purulia district in West Bengal, had worked in Pithoria’s hotels for nearly two decades. The police have launched an investigation to determine the motives behind the murder and identify those involved, although the reasons remain unclear at this time.
