Jaipur, May 18: A shocking incident has emerged in Rajasthan where the 100-year-old statue of Jujharji Maharaj, located in the Pratap Nagar school complex on Pur Road in Bhilwara, was vandalized by miscreants. This act of desecration has sparked widespread anger and discontent across the region. The news of this vandalism at a sacred site has deeply upset local residents and activists from various social and Hindu organizations.
The ancient shrine holds significant faith for the community, particularly for the Teli society, who have been conducting regular prayers and religious rituals here for many years. The sudden targeting of this center of faith has hurt the sentiments of the community, leading to a large gathering at the site.
Upon hearing the news, officials from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, and youth leaders from the Teli community rushed to the scene. The atmosphere was charged with anger as they demanded immediate arrests of the culprits and strict action from the police and administration.
Sushil Suwalka, co-minister of VHP in Bhilwara, expressed strong disapproval regarding the incident. He stated that certain anti-social elements are attempting to poison the peaceful atmosphere of Bhilwara, undermining communal harmony. He urged the police to swiftly identify the offenders and take stringent legal measures against them.
In light of the incident’s sensitivity, Pratap Nagar police station chief Sunil Tada arrived at the scene with a police force. They initiated efforts to calm the situation and resolve the matter. Tada confirmed that the police team has inspected the site and commenced an investigation to identify the miscreants.
