Mumbai, May 2: A four-year-old girl in Pune district, Maharashtra, was allegedly murdered by a 65-year-old man after being sexually assaulted. This tragic incident has sparked outrage among local residents. In response, NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule condemned the act and demanded strict action against the accused from the Pune Superintendent of Police.
On Saturday, Supriya Sule took to the social media platform ‘X’ to express her concerns. She stated, “I have spoken with the Superintendent of Pune Rural Police regarding the inhumane and extremely shameful incident in Nasrapur. He assured me that stringent action will be taken against the monster responsible for this heinous act. I am in constant contact with the government and administration to ensure that justice is served for the victim.”
She further urged citizens to understand that it is a collective resolve to ensure the harshest punishment for the criminal and justice for the victim. “The police administration has taken cognizance of this matter. Therefore, I request everyone to exercise restraint. Strict action will be taken against the guilty party,” she added.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena’s national spokesperson Shaina NC commented on the case, stating, “A four-year-old girl and a 65-year-old man who lured her, sexually assaulted her, and then murdered her. CCTV footage clearly shows how she was buried under a pile of cow dung. I believe there is immense anger among the people regarding this incident. Hundreds of villagers have gathered at the police station.”
Shaina NC also noted that the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code. She remarked, “As a society, this raises a significant question about the direction we are heading. This is not just a consequence of the Kaliyuga; it is the most heinous and brutal act committed against a four-year-old girl.”
